Light and healthful foods are part of a sattvic diet. Sattvic meals are believed to boost vitality, happiness, tranquility, and mental clarity in Ayurvedic practice. In real life, that means consuming good, fresh, nutritious, and vegetarian foods.

Types of Yoga Foods:

Foods are divided into three categories in the teachings of classical yoga: Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. These are known as gunas and stand for the three attributes that permeate everything, even food.

  1. Sattva: The highest guna, which stands for harmony and balance, is this one. This is the perfect condition.
  2. Rajas. This guna is a symbol of motion and activity. Stress, overstimulation, and overexcitement result from having too much rajas.

3.Tamas: The base guna is this. It is linked to cynicism, frailty, and sloth.

A “yoga diet,” sometimes referred to as a “yogic diet,” usually entails consuming more sattvic foods. Depending on how strictly you adhere to it, this may appear different for various people because many experts advise paying attention to what your body requires and eating those items.

I believe, we are what we eat. There is no other way to the Yoga Body but being mindful of what you consume on daily basis.
